One of the guests is close to tears, another has obviously been drinking heavily and a third is a brash and very loud young thing. This may well turn out to be a party to remember for all the wrong reasons.
As dinner is announced an argument breaks out and the lady of the house has to work hard to bring about an icy calm. During the meal there are yet more bizarre happenings and then, just as things seem to be more settled, a guest falls from his chair - stone dead. From here onwards things just get worse and worse.
Who dunnit? Why? How? Were accomplices involved?
The task of the guests is to work out all of this and come up with a solution.
Murder parties are light-hearted and fun, by design. Everyone can look forward to a very entertaining evening.
Actors play all the key roles throughout the event, interacting with the guests in a light hearted manner, subtly revealing critical information during the proceedings.
The guests, usually playing in teams, gather as much detail as they can by listening, observing and quizzing the actors as much as they like.
Towards the end of dinner the actors will leave the teams to devise their solutions - however extraordinary.
Should you wish to personalise the standard party a special script can be devised, based around your company, or even individual guests.
Period costume is also a popular addition, with 1920s being especially colourful and appropriate for the theme.
